A few last things!

Today brings us to the end of the Spring term.  We spent the morning in assembly, where Mr Crees told us all about Easter and why it's special to Christians. He shared some of his childhood memories.

After this we returned to class to read the remaining three chapters of Holes.  It exceeded even our high expectations. Even the last chapter had twists and turns! What a fantastic book, which I'm sure we won't forget.  Louis Sachar has written a follow-up book to this entitled 'Small Steps'.  Apparently, this book follows the adventures of two of the boys from Camp Green lake, Armpit and X-Ray. Many of us in 6C want to read this to see what happens to them. We are going to share Chapter One after the holiday and do some follow-up written work based on this!

We ended our morning by answering some questions on the last few chapters. We are getting much better at answering in full sentences, quoting from the text and giving page references!

Here we are at work:

Yesterday Mr Clarke spent a long time searching for a book for Year 6 to study after the Easter holidays.  A decision has been made.  We will be reading Artemis Fowl....

Check out the reviews of this book, this too sounds AMAZING!

This afternoon we are going to watch the film of Holes. We will let you know our thoughts after the holiday in our next blog.

To end, here is some of the fantastic work we've produced this term:
